Everything you wanted to know about sofa & carpet cleaning

Do you clean wall-to-wall carpets?+

Zeus Clean provides wall-to-wall carpet cleaning for private and business customers alike. Whether it's a small area or a large one, everyone gets the same service and the same level of cleanliness.

I bought a shaggy rug and don't know how to maintain it — what do I do?+

Shaggy rugs are known to be hard to maintain. Besides our deep treatment twice a year, we recommend vacuuming the rug regularly, on a weekly basis, to keep dust and crumbs from working their way deep into it. Once a month, you can also flip it over and let the kids jump on it — that shakes loose whatever has worked its way in (sand, crumbs).

I bought a special carpet and sofa cleaning product from a store — how do I use it?+

Store-bought products aren't recommended for cleaning upholstery and carpets at home — in most cases they cause more harm than good. When there's a stain, the goal is to remove it, not push it deeper in by rubbing and applying products. In professional cleaning we loosen the dirt with hot steam and a special soap, then extract it out. Store products usually just mask the stain, which reappears within hours.

How do I get a quote, and how much does the demonstration cost?+

Contact us and you'll already get a ballpark figure over the phone. After that, one of our professionals will come, assess the job needed at your home, and give you a quote and demonstration — free of charge.

I have parquet flooring, I'm worried it'll get damaged during the cleaning!+

No need to worry — just let us know, and our team will arrive with special covering that protects wood or stone floors. We know how to work professionally while causing minimal disruption to your space.

Can ink stains be removed from leather sofas?+

In most cases, ink damage on leather sofas causes irreversible harm, but we specialize in removing ink stains from leather thanks to special techniques and cleaning materials we import from Italy.

Do you restore leather sofas?+

Absolutely — we restore all types of leather upholstery after fire damage, water damage, mold, and natural wear.

I'm moving apartments in about two weeks — should I clean the sofas before or after the move?+

Most people tend to clean before the move, but we recommend cleaning only afterward — to avoid a situation where you'd need to book cleaning again. During the move itself, unpleasant things can happen that dirty the furniture all over again.

My dog relieved itself on my new sofa — what do I do? Throw the sofa out?+

Absolutely not. We have a special service for cases like this, which includes cleaning, disinfecting, and odor treatment.

How much does car upholstery cleaning cost?+

The price varies by upholstery type, number of seats, and the nature of the job needed. Contact us and our professionals will be glad to give you a quote at any time.

What services do you provide?+

We specialize in cleaning upholstery of all kinds, carpet cleaning, curtain cleaning, and car upholstery cleaning.

How far in advance do I need to book you?+

At least a day or two before your preferred date. In urgent cases, subject to availability, we also offer same-day service.

Do you sell a special product for cleaning leather sofas?+

Yes, we supply special cleaning materials that help maintain your upholstery's quality between professional cleanings.

I have a sixty-year-old handmade rug — can you clean it without damaging it?+

Absolutely. We understand the sentimental value customers place on furniture like this, we clean rugs of this kind on a daily basis, and we're the only company that gives a written warranty on it.

Where do you operate from, and how far do you reach?+

Our office is in Ramat Gan. We don't have branches in the north, south, or Jerusalem — but service is provided at the customer's home nationwide.

How long have you been in this field?+

We've been in the sofa and carpet cleaning business in Israel since 2005.

Do you work on Saturdays?+

No — we work very hard throughout the week and keep one day of rest.

What's your availability?+

Usually two to three days, except around the holidays.

Do I have to book in advance?+

Aside from emergencies like floods, we usually can't arrive on same-day notice.

Do you offer a warranty?+

Absolutely — a full warranty that no damage will be caused to your furniture as a result of the cleaning.

Can I get a demonstration?+

Yes, on every job you can get a no-obligation demonstration before the work begins.

Do you charge a callout fee?+

Not at all.

Is there a minimum order?+

Yes — the minimum order for a home visit is ₪300.

Doesn't the cleaning damage the furniture?+

Quite the opposite — our goal is to improve your furniture, not damage it.

I booked carpet cleaning from you — what other services do you offer?+

Sofa cleaning, mattress cleaning, kids' bed cleaning, dining chair cleaning, car upholstery cleaning, and more.

Can you clean leather sofas too?+

Yes, no problem — though the method and materials differ from fabric sofa cleaning.

My leather sofa is full of tears and cracks — will that disappear after cleaning?+

No, cleaning doesn't solve issues like that. Tears and cracks require repair and re-dyeing of the leather.

How long does the furniture take to dry?+

Usually about 5–6 hours. In especially tough cases, when double the amount of water is needed, drying can take 12–24 hours.

Can you clean a kids' bed with an electric mechanism?+

There's no reason not to — thanks to our advanced equipment we use a small amount of water, so the mattress doesn't absorb much moisture, and in most cases the electric mechanism sits underneath the bed and isn't exposed to moisture.

Is there a price difference between fabric and leather sofa cleaning?+

Usually yes — leather sofa cleaning is a harder process and requires more manual work, since it's done almost entirely without cleaning machines.

How long does a carpet take to dry after cleaning?+

We extract about 90% of the water injected into the carpet, so it stays damp rather than soaked. In most cases you'll need to wait about three to four hours until it's fully dry.

My carpet got flooded with water — is there a chance of saving it?+

Yes! In case of a flood, contact us quickly and we'll arrive as fast as possible — we'll extract the water from the carpet, wash it with special soap, treat it against bad odors and mold damage, and dry it with dedicated equipment.

Is cleaning a carpet at home cheaper than sending it to a facility?+

Yes, always — the reason is simple: transport costs.

If I hand over carpets for cleaning, how long until I get them back?+

As long as it's not the holiday season, we commit to three to five business days.
