How to Remove Mold Stains from a Mattress

Removing mold stains from mattresses is one of the most common services we at Zeus Clean have provided our customers since we first started out in the upholstery cleaning business.
Accidents always happen, and there are plenty of situations that can lead to mold stains — mattresses stored in damp places, leaks or moisture on the wall the mattress is pushed up against, a mattress that wasn't properly cared for, and so on...
Don't worry, you don't need to give up on your mattress and order a new one. A professional mold stain removal service will solve the problem quickly, for just a few hundred shekels.
The first tip we can give you is not to put off the treatment — the longer you wait, the lower your chances of fully resolving the problem.
Mold stains spread quickly across upholstery and can also cause irreversible damage.
Can you guarantee you'll remove all the stains?
No, nobody can guarantee that.
True, in ninety percent of cases we're able to remove all the stains completely, but there are cases where the damage simply can't be fixed.
What we can do in cases like that is remove most of the marks, neutralize bad odors, and stop the mold from spreading further.
How much does mold stain removal from mattresses cost?
At Zeus Clean, we don't charge a special extra fee beyond a standard mattress cleaning and odor neutralization.
That said, there can be an extra charge of up to 50% above our regular price in especially extreme cases.
The price for the service varies depending on the fabric type, the size of the mattress, and so on — on average, you'll pay between 150 and 400 NIS plus VAT for mattress cleaning.
After a mold stain removal treatment, how soon can we sleep on our mattress again?
Thanks to the powerful extraction equipment we work with, we can guarantee very short drying times — about half a day, up to twenty-four hours in the worst case.
The better ventilated the room the mattress is in, the shorter the drying time.
How does the cleaning process itself work?
First, we spray a special product for removing stains from mattresses.
After spraying the product, we let it soften the stains for about fifteen minutes.
After waiting fifteen minutes, we begin cleaning the mattress using a professional mattress-cleaning machine that performs two actions at once.
By two actions, we mean injection and extraction — the machine injects cleaning product deep into the mattress along with steam (or cold water, depending on the fabric type), and on the other side extracts everything back out of the mattress, including all the dirt that's built up.
At the end of the job, the mattress gets a thorough spray of an odor-neutralizing product that stays active for several days after our treatment.
