Sofa Cleaning: Frequently Asked Questions

Welcome to the Zeus Clean sofa and rug cleaning blog. In this post, we've put together a summary of ten questions we hear on a daily basis about sofa cleaning at the customer's home.

Of course, these are just some of the questions our customers ask us. If you'd like to know anything else or book a service, contact us and we'd be happy to help!

How much does sofa cleaning at the customer's home cost?

It depends on several things, like the size of the sofa, whether the cushions come apart or not, the number of seats, the fabric type, and the condition of the living room set.

A sofa that needs deep cleaning will cost more to clean than a sofa that just needs a quick refresh.

On average, the price ranges from ninety to one hundred fifty shekels per seat.

Which types of fabric are more expensive to clean?

We clean all types of fabric, but there are indeed fabrics that are harder to clean or that require treatment with special solutions, such as Impala fabric, cotton, wool, silk, and linen.

Is leather sofa cleaning done the same way as fabric sofa cleaning?

No — leather sofas are treated by hand using brushes, cloths, and cleaning solutions created specifically for cleaning leather seating.

At the end of the job, our team also applies a leather conditioner to the entire sofa.

How long do sofas take to dry?

Fabric sofas need a drying time of between five and twenty-four hours.

Drying times depend on weather conditions and how well ventilated the room they're in is.

If the room is well ventilated, drying times will be significantly shorter.

Is professional sofa cleaning suitable for absorbent leathers like nubuck?

Unfortunately, no — absorbent leather sofas can't be cleaned either by machine or by hand. These are very delicate leathers that are sensitive to water and cleaning solutions.

There are places that sell special cloths for cleaning nubuck leather, but we don't have experience with them.

Is the work guaranteed?

Absolutely. We at Zeus Clean have been in this business for over a decade, and we've always offered our customers a full guarantee that no damage will be caused to their furniture as a result of the cleaning process.

Can sofa cleaning be done on parquet flooring?

You can put your mind at ease — beyond our professional equipment and materials, our team arrives with special protective covers for wood and natural stone floors.

We're here to do good for people, not cause damage.

If I book sofa cleaning for my home or office, do I need to prepare the house in advance and move furniture myself?

No — we'll do all the work ourselves: moving furniture, folding rugs, and setting up the work area.

At the end of the job, we also wipe down the floor behind us and put everything back exactly where it was.

Will your treatment also solve problems with unpleasant odors?

The cleaning process will solve most of the problem, but it's important to let us know in advance if there are specific odor issues that need attention.

For just a small additional fee — a few dozen shekels — we can apply a professional odor-neutralizing treatment to the sofa.

Is your treatment also suitable for getting rid of dust mites?

Absolutely — our machines are very powerful and clean using steam that penetrates deep into the upholstery.

Thanks to the boiling water, the injection power, and finally the strong extraction, we remove dust mites from deep within the sofa's fibers.
